Hello. My name is Brittany I'm 32yr old and my daughter Mercedes was born at 33 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. I had struggled with preeclampsia for a while started around 20 weeks and progressed very quickly. At 31 weeks I was at work (daycare) and started getting extremely ill. I went to the hospital and was admitted immediately with a blood pressure of 178/120. I was then transferred to children's hospital. I had 2 different rounds of magnesium and 2 24hr urinalysis with a catheter. The headaches where so bad along with getting super sick all day every day. I also had a lot of vision issues happening. Mercedes was born 3lbs 13oz 16in long and immediately taken to nicu. She was put on a ventilator. She's currently still in the nicu on oxygen and a feeding tube. My blood pressure is still high 140s-150s/ 90s-100s. I feel very strongly about fundraising for preeclampsia and would love to get the word out there to help other family's as well as research.
